WordPress Developer

1. 5 years' experience with WordPress developing custom themes, shortcodes, CPTs, hooks, widgets, custom post types, page templates, WP-CLI, AJAX, functions.php, etc.
2. 5 years' experience developing secure, Object-oriented programming server side code with PHP.
3. Extensive experience with front-end web languages --HTML, CSS, Javascript--and libraries such as JQuery and Jquery UI.

Nice to have: Any mobile experience

Our client, is looking for an experienced Senior Web Developer to develop custom WordPress themes and plugins. You'll be a part of a highly specialized and talented group of web professionals and they will involve and include you on major decisions. You will have the ability to contribute like never before.

Responsibilities:
* Experience with WordPress (custom themes, shortcodes, CPTs, hooks, widgets, custom post types, page templates, WP-CLI, AJAX, functions.php, etc.).
* Core understanding of browser and system requirements across multiple devices.
* Knowledge of the best practices and limitations of web design UI/UX (layout widths, typography, image optimization, etc.).
* Document processes and code in a clear, comprehensive and organized manner.
* Experience producing secure, Object Oriented (OOP), server-side code - specifically PHP.
* Basic understanding of RESTful API practices and server communication using AJAX/JSON and JavaScript/jQuery.
* Basic understanding with version control on a large scale - specifically GIT.
* Proficiency in all front-end web languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) as well as libraries such as jQuery and jQuery UI. Heavy JavaScript preferable.
* Work with Junior Developers to help them gain knowledge and experience.
* Implement TDD with PHPUnit and Selenium.
* Build/maintain new and existing Laravel Web Applications and demonstrate ability to keep up with new updates to the framework.
* Complete Code Reviews and offer advice on how to improve code.
* Experience with development tools: Grunt, Bower, node, etc.
* Experience building mobile apps is a plus.

Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience and knowledge of:
* PHP
* WordPress
* HTML5
* CSS
* JavaScript
* Content Management Systems
* MySQL
* Responsive Web Design
* UI/UX
