Web Developer, Salary $70-80K
Job Description:
Works with the Systems Analysts to program, design and maintain all websites. Responsible for various programming projects required for reporting from a variety databases. Design, develop, maintain and market websites. Additional duties include the design and development of systems to streamline and automate operations.
- Experience working with user design / user experience team members
- Work with clients and team members to design, build and manage web sites
- Designs appealing websites according to style guides
- Implements websites in HTML and CSS
- Implements code and code sniplets in common web programming languages like Java, PHP, and JavaScript
- Writing, testing and implementing business applications and working closely with the business analyst to interpret and analyze our customer needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Programmer and Webmaster, Administers the upkeep of the web site and related databases.
- Assist in the evaluation and or recommendation of the purchases of web software and hardware
- Administration of the regulation and management of access rights of different users of a website
- Programming and maintenance of the appearance or design of a website, and setting up website navigation
- Utilize all media possibilities: Flash, Java, streaming and downloadable video/audio, mobile, etc.
- Responsible for coding in HTML, JAVA, PHP, .Net, and SQL
- Experienced with, code management tools such as Eclipse or NetBeans
- Collaborate on graphical web design, programming systems, and support server configuration
- Responsible for the configuring of host servers and creating programming test environments.
- Responsible for domain registration and SSL certification
- Responsible for technical support of remote sites.
- Responsible for working with analyst to test/document software, implementing system and train/support users.
- Must maintain currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of the-art technology, equipment, and software.
- Responsible for analyzing and correcting system failures.
- Creating systems design, programming, testing, and maintaining legacy applications.
- Conducting research and performing Data Mining for Business Analytics.
- Performs other system related duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- System Development Life Cycle, Front End Development skills, HTML/XHTML/CSS, JAVASCRIPT, Web 2.0, XML, Back End Development skills in UML, JAVA, J2EE, JDBC, PHP, manual creation and maintenance of web sites, Database structure, SQL Server, MySQL, Tomcat, Linux systems, Apache, and Linux command line tools such as a command line editor
Additional knowledge is a plus:
- ANT, Struts, O/R Mapping (Hibernate), Spring, JSF, NET Technologies, Web Services, Version Control, such as CVS
Education:
- Minimum 4+ years experience in technologies mentioned above .
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in computer science or a related field.
