Job Title: Adobe Analytics Developer
Remote Role - Can be located anywhere on the West Coast (PST/MST/CST)
Position Overview:
As a Web Analytics Developer, you will play a key role in supporting Client business on the web by designing and refining measurement applications to analyze the performance of Client web properties. These personalized sites play a critical role in engaging our customers as they learn about, try, and purchase Client software.
You will focus on developing a deep understanding of business KPIs through current and future business requirements and help define and implement the analytics data capture. You will expand our existing Web Analytics instrumentation and drive its development and implementation with CMS engineering teams and development partners. With your Adobe Analytics implementation experience, you will explore how to expand the technical architecture to include new, business-related data capture. With your technical expertise, you understand system boundaries and can direct engineering resources on the right problems. You know that data collection is just one step in an analytics project, and that driving analytics instrumentation platform adoption through advocacy amplifies our success.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop and support the web analytics instrumentation architecture
• Develop, test, and validate new analytics data capture designs, with consideration for stakeholder reporting needs and long-term business goals
• Lead the implementation of technical instrumentation through execution teams using agile and traditional project management methodologies
• Assist with the triage analytics-related issues (both in formal development and on an ad hoc basis), and share that knowledge with other partners & stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to expand web analytics collection, especially as they relate to key performance indicators in customer lifecycles
• Consistently evaluate and – where necessary – refactor the analytics architecture to improve stability, flexibility, scalability, and future-proofing
• Build collaborative relationships with engineering and technical teams across the company, sharing best practices and identifying new integration opportunities
• Increase the velocity of Web Analytics implementations by working with engineering teams
• Prioritize and respond to ad-hoc requests for web performance analysis from technical stakeholders on occasion
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years'' experience in Adobe Analytics implementation.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, web logs databases and data warehousing
• Development experience with Adobe Analytics (must have), Google Analytics (nice to have) and custom data collection systems
• Development experience with Tealium or other Tag Management System
• Knowledge of web analytics data and data structures
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to influence and drive technical adoption of analytics products
• Strong communication skills with engineers and marketing
