Position: Web Designer (HTML/CSS)
Location: Peninsula Area
Status: Freelance
Estimated Duration: 6 Months
Starts: Within a Couple Weeks
Rate: Up to $43/hr DOE

Job Description:
Our EdTech client is in need of a Web Designer to help their team!

This Web Designer role is onsite in Sunnyvale and will be 40hrs/week for 6 months. There is potential to extend for the right fit!

The primary responsibilities for the successful Web Designer include:
- Manage the day-to-day development, maintenance, and enhancements for the client's marketing web sites
- Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of larger web site projects including web site redesigns
- Conceive, design and code landing pages, microsites, and other online promotions for our digital channels
- Utilize a proactive approach with stakeholders including Marketing, Product, Sales, Customer Support, and HR, to keep web site content current
- Maintain web site quality, consistency, and adherence to brand identity for US marketing web sites and collaborate with other designers on the global marketing team to ensure these practices are extended across all global web sites.
- Support email marketing campaigns through the development of responsive landing pages within our CMS (Sitecore), and custom email templates and lead forms within the marketing automation system (Marketo)
- Interface with developers to resolve bugs and other web related issues
- Keep current with emerging web technologies and best practices through relevant blogs, social media, and events, to bring improvements to our processes and digital channels

To be considered for this Web Designer role you must have:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in Web Design, Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 4 years experience in responsive front-end web design and development
- Demonstrable experience writing html/CSS/javascript by hand
- At least intermediate UI/UX visual design skills

SKILLS:
-Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
-Sketch
-CMS experience - preferably Sitecore
-HTML, CSS, Javascript
