An ideal opportunity for a tactical execution whiz that can hit the ground running. An in-place strategy framework provides the opportunity to get to know the product(s) and company while contributing from Day 1. The ideal candidate is analytical, strategic and tactical with the ability to quickly adapt to the challenges of a software company that is shifting its business model.

Purpose: Responsible for the execution and management of the 2020/2021 marketing strategy, the VP Marketing leads and supports all areas of internal and external communications with ownership of Lead Generation efforts. Serving as a member of the Senior Staff, the VP Marketing is responsible for maintaining partnership with the Sales Team to ensure: A) the quality and volume of inbound leads, B) effective lead management, and C) managing, creating and executing effective lead nurturing strategies. In addition, the VP Marketing collaborates with the VPs of Customer Success and Product to ensure messaging is consistent and aligned/ready to promote product launch, product management and customer support. As owner of the marketing technology stack, the VP of Marketing brings extensive experience in the range of effective marketing technology tools, trends and best practices.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Drive and manage Demand and Lead Generation initiatives including digital strategy, content creation/ dissemination and product launch.
  • Collaborate with VP Customer Success in developing/executing effective retention strategy including Education, Support and Promotional communications, events and calendar.
  • Co-own the role of HubSpot Administrator with the VP of Customer Success to ensure Properties, Objects, Workflows and Reporting are aligned and accurate across Marketing, Sales and Customer Hubs.
  • Manage Reporting Dashboards in alignment with KPIs and provide weekly updates and monthly and quarterly reporting against goals.
  • Work directly with Customer Success in coordination with the MKT Team to design and execute communications campaigns that accomplish established objectives and leverage a wide variety of communication and marketing tools, methods and strategies.
  • Direct the day-to-day of the SDR team.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Sales Team to generate creative and original ideas for reaching and engaging target audiences and communicating key messages.
  • Conceive, develop, and produce effective messaging for internal and external communications campaigns and content including: Blog Posts, Email, and Press Releases.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Graphic Artist & Web Master to create a broad range of collateral including brochures, case studies, emails, fact sheets, flyers, posters, web banners, icons, infographics, and white papers, providing all messaging/content.
  • Manage digital campaigns and reporting, coordinating activity of third-party providers.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Graphic Artist / Web Master on the website enhancement/expansion strategy providing all written content.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Graphic Artists / Web Master on the Brand Standard / Guidelines to ensure consistency throughout the company.
  • Think critically and apply industry insight for continuous improvement of all communication.
  • Manage day-to-day projects as directed by the COO in collaboration with the Marketing & Sales Team.

Necessary to achieve success in this position: Reporting Skills, Organization and Project Management, Analyzing Information, Professionalism, Problem Solving, Verbal & Written Communication and the ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines.


REQUIRED Background, Skills & Experience:

  • B2B marketing in SaaS, Software or Technology.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with HubSpot; a certified HubSpot Pro is highly desired
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience developing/executing Digital Strategy.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Digital Marketing with extensive applied knowledge of Email best practices, Google Analytics, Social Media and marcom trends, tools and best practices.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ general marketing experience with concentration in Demand/Lead Generation and Sales Support.
  • Experienced content creator – writing samples will be required including Email campaigns, digital ads, White Papers, Blog posts, etc.
  • Analytic, Strategic and Tactical thinker that reports and manages by KPIs experienced in benchmarking.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite.
  • BA/BS in English, Communication, Business or Marketing; in lieu of a degree from an accredited university, 15 years of progressive experience will be considered.

DESIRED Background, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry or companies serving the manufacturing industry highly desired.
  • B2B, B2C, and/or B2B2C e-commerce experience a huge plus.
  • Marketing-side product development/management a huge plus.
  • Advanced Project Management certification.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – Acrobat, InDesign, and Photoshop.
