We are looking for an outstanding Web Designer with experience in in SEO and UI UX development to be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of websites.
Job Duties

  • Creative Design Skills
  • Experience designing and developing responsive website
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite (Javascript and jQuery a plus)
  • Experience designing and developing custom WordPress themes
  • Ability to plan site design by clarifying goals; designing functionality
  • Develops site content and graphics by coordinating with copywriters and graphic artists; designing images, icons, banners, etc.
  • Experience with server management (domain, hosting, email and database management)
  • Ability to conceptualize web product design through wireframes, mockups, and conceptual prototypes
  • Strong understanding and expertise in web content, usability, architecture, development and design
  • Strong understanding of UI (user interface design), UX (user experience design), cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
  • Working knowledge of web browsers, multiple OS (operating systems) platforms and site maintenance, as well as mobile compatibility
  • Proficient in implementing/developing landing pages, uploading videos/images/content
  • Excellent web/digital media project management abilities and strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines
  • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment, functioning as a team member
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Should be able to facilitate group discussions, follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes, and facilitate communication between partners
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and tracking website pages and campaigns for optimization
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Strong web design skills a plus

Create overall visual style c. Create special case visual styles d. Create initial engagement and action plan e. Create initial SEO plan f. Collaborate with UCR University Communications on visual style g. Sign off by key stakeholders 6. Website Development [8-12 weeks] a. Collaborate with IT web developers on coding b. Adjust site architecture and visual design c. Review content with UCRX Marketing and key stakeholders d. Develop new content and refine old content e. Refine engagement and action content f. Refine SEO plan 7. Website Testing [3-6 weeks] a. QA testing with IT web developers b. QA testing with key stakeholders c. QA testing with broader internal stakeholders d. QA testing with external focus groups as needed e. Minor adjustments based on feedback f. Sign off by key stakeholders 8. Launch [1 week] a. Launch new website b. Assist in the review and prioritization of non-infrastructure feedback c. Adjust site architecture and visual design d. Address content changes 9. Post-Launch Immediate Modifications [2-4 weeks] a. Assist in the review and prioritization of scope not included for launch b. Adjust site architecture and visual design c. Address content and action changes d. Address SEO changes e.
