Front-End Web Developer
Are you a skilled front end developer with a solid understanding of front-end JavaScript frameworks and a solid portfolio? Seeking a strong front end dev who seeks to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX Design Wireframes and Technical Requirement Documentation to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with UI/UX, Back-End Development, and Product Management to bridge the gap between design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
This is a 6-month W2 contract opportunity which is likely to extend or convert. The Front End Web Developer will sit onsite at the company HQ in Wilmington. No relocation assistance, sponsorship, 1099 arrangements, or C2C available. If this sounds like a good fit for you, apply now! 
Responsibilities of the Front-End Web Developer:
  • Develop new user-facing features and build upon existing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Deliver functional - testable code on or before due dates
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications of the Front-End Web Developer:
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of ECMAScript 2015
  • Knowledge of Front-End Testing and Tooling
  • Basic understanding of Front-End Architecture
  • Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Mercurial, SVN
  • Good understanding of ADA accessibility principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
  • Experience working in a production environment
