General Summary:

The Technical Communicator will design, develop and deliver information about ConnectWise applications using multiple media, primarily through the ConnectWise online system documentation.

Responsibilities / Essential Duties:
• Create and maintain system documentation for all functionality for ConnectWise products; including: mobile applications and add-on tools according to product releases
• Design and develop ConnectWise documentation materials using HTML and Bootstrap technology for the following: Release Notes, Roadmap, Requirements, Supported Versions, Knowledge Base articles and other pages in the University
• Design, develop and send partner-facing HTML emails regarding ConnectWise product releases, notifications and support communications
• Create HTML links in the documentation to videos
• Develop and maintain HTML forms and partner-facing pages for ConnectWise and the University
• Complete Quality Assurance testing on new ConnectWise releases and submit tickets for issues as release enhancements are documented
• Ensure that ConnectWise continues to use the appropriate technology to create and maintain effective, timely end-user documentation
• Participate in content definition and creation of presentations for annual ConnectWise Conferences, ongoing workshops and webinars
• Train and teach in relevant topics such as: ConnectWise, HTML, Email and mobile friendly best practices
• Perform usability testing related on documentation deliverables
• Ensure that ConnectWise product documentation is properly indexed and searchable at all times using the Google Search Appliance tool
• Assist other departments with editing company documentation and materials
Required Skills / Knowledge:
• Knowledge of HTML and familiarity with other coding languages such as Bootstrap or JavaScript to create and edit University and Documentation materials
• Ability to translate market requirements and business objectives into changes in ConnectWise Business Suite product documentation
• Must have an outstanding grasp of communication skills, including verbal, written and listening
• Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills in order to resolve or coordinate the resolution of complex problems in a flexible and logical manner
• Ability to work constructively and independently under stress and pressure in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
• Ability to synthesize information from partners and staff effectively to make sound and timely decisions
• Ability to interact positively and openly with peers, subordinates, upper-management and external business contacts
Education / Previous Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communication (or similar)
• Experience using Adobe Dreamweaver or HTML Editing Tool
• Experience with help authoring tool or publishing tool
• 2 years of related experience desired
Work Conditions:
• Professional office environment
• Minimal to no travel requirements
