The Senior Vice President, Communications & Social Media will serve as the senior-most communications executive responsible for developing and leading an integrated communications & social media strategy for ADMI, and the portfolio companies. The Senior Vice President will be a strategic thinker, responsible for leading the development and implementation of the national corporate reputation and social media strategy, including community engagement, thought leadership, media relations, crisis and issues management, customer communications, public relations, agency onboarding, and program development. This person will also be responsible for all the internal communications to the company’s employee base.



  • Develop effective corporate communication strategies and plans in support of overall brand reputation, corporate affairs and community engagement that include all communication channels, such as internal, social, earned/paid, trade and consumer media, meetings and events.
  • Build and lead a world class social media function including an engaging content platform.  The SVP will build/foster a high performing social media team, develop the enterprise social media strategy, and execute with an extensive focus on brand reputation and community engagement (including a focus on reviews and social listening).
  • Proactively protect the interests and reputation of the organization; oversee reputation management and communications with a focus on brand image as an industry leader by focusing on standard methodologies, innovative ideas and audience insight.
  • Drive key deliverables that creates distinction and enhances the brand’s reputation in partnership with the business.
  • Manage agencies and retain other outside counsel when necessary.
  • Work cross functionally with other members of the communications organization to ensure corporate reputation messages reach key audiences.
  • Lead internal communications team through the development and implementation of an internal communications program to drive employee engagement and business results through creative storytelling, thought leadership, change management campaigns, eminence building, and executive positioning.
  • Develop, oversee, and manage the budget for all communications and public relations activities.
  • Define ROI & KPI strategies to benchmark success.
  • Provide strategic planning, direction, and management of external communication and public relations programs. Use strategy to craft annual plan that identifies communications priorities, objectives, target constituencies and metrics for determining success.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership and messaging support when issues arise.
  • Partner with legal team to drive corporate/government affairs through communication channels.
  • As necessary, help build relationships and facilitate high-level meetings with key stakeholders, including policymakers, administration, regulatory agencies and industry associations to promote and advocate the company’s policy objectives.
  • Demonstrate extraordinary leadership, strategic vision, innovation, creative energy, collaborative spirit and proven skills for conveying both internal and external messages.
  • Develop a team of strong communicators who can operate well in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate capabilities needed to manage communication, both internally and externally, for multiple constituencies across multiple businesses

Minimum Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications or related discipline required, master’s a plus.
  • 15+ years of proven experience in public relations and communications, including industry experience in consumer, retail, or services. Highly regarded, nationally recognized communications agency experience will be considered.
  • 7+ years managing a high performing social media function
  • Firm understanding of and/or the proven ability and drive to quickly learn about the issues facing the industry, and the ability to comprehend and communicate issues relevant to ADMI.
  • Proven ability to internalize high level business strategy and connect the dots across the team/company in order to develop targeted communications that are relevant, meaningful, and educational for various segments.
  • Adept at corporate reputation and media issues management. Ability to meet tight deadlines in a demanding market.
  • Strong experience/knowledge of social media tools and techniques that drive reputation and brand, and advance messaging in the market.
  • Demonstrated ability to build internal and external coalitions of critical stakeholders – examples may include federal/state/local government, industry, academia, etc.
  • Passion for a blend of hands-on and strategic work with internal and agency partners. Strong work ethic in general with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude.
  • Highly developed strategic thinking and execution skills; ability to achieve excellence and meet goals. Proven ability to bring creative approaches to a results-driven organization.
  • Experienced in building large and small-scale events that support training, engagement and customer experiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
