Career Opportunity: The Social Media Specialist will support the Digital Marketing team's ongoing initiatives. This role is responsible for monitoring and engaging with activities across all social channels. They should be able to generate traffic to the website by developing original content and really be an overall generalist in all things Social Media.

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for design, creation, and delivery of marketing related content (written and graphical) that supports marketing activities.


  • Assist with the creation, conception, and presentation of the company's social media strategy and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Utilize social listening tools like Sprout to generate insights and provide metrics.
  • Use measurement tools to continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.
  • Review web-based marketing content for grammar and factual information.
  • Day-to-day management and development of editorial content on social media platforms, including tweets, posts and discussions.
  • Proactively interacting with online communities across all platforms.
  • Using social media monitoring tools to monitor conversations.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on a corporate and regional level.
  • Enforce brand guidelines across owned channels.
  • Work closely with Designers to create "social media" worthy artwork.
  • Maintain the design and layout of the company blog.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Should have equally effective people skills to deal with clients.
  • Self-confident and outgoing personality.
  • Actively participates in wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking, etc.
  • Experience developing and implementing tactical plans that build and nurture online communities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Must be proficient in or have working knowledge of:
    • Social listening tools like Sprout and/or content management systems.
    • Strong knowledge of Google Analytics and Social Media Analytics.
    • Strong familiarity with established and emerging social media platforms.
    • Strong writing and verbal communication skills (AP style writing preferred).
    • Knowledge of paid social media across Facebook and Twitter.
