Position Summary:

The Social Media Specialist at Kemper Corporation will develop and execute on Kemper’s enterprise-wide social media strategy to support Kemper’s key business and corporate communication strategies, continuously increase brand awareness and equity, engage and
enhance key stakeholder relationships, and favorably impact Kemper and our businesses. The Social Media Specialist will oversee Kemper’s social media networking presence, and create and execute results-driven social media campaigns and tactics on current and
future social media outlets (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) and niche social media (e.g. insurance and employee groups) initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement and manage measurable social media strategies and tactics for the corporate and business unit brands that align with organizational goals and strategies, and enhance search engine optimization.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their unique goals, objectives and challenges, and ensure social media plans are aligned.

• Develop and implement content strategy focused on increased reach and engagement of key stakeholder groups.

• Monitor company online communities and presence.
• Research and identify trends and best practices related to social media networking, venues, engagement, and measurement; provide recommendations.

• Develop appropriate KPIs; provide regular reporting on results and ability to contribute to business goals.

• Work closely with compliance and legal teams to review content and comply with industry practices, and company policies and procedures

• Provide initial contact to certain inquiries and comments generated through social media; triage with internal teams to manage timely response and coordinate escalations or further communication.

• Perform budget development and management related to function, including expense tracking and invoice review.

Position Requirements:

• BA/BS degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related discipline.

• 5+ years’ experience in developing and managing corporate digital marketing/social media campaign strategies and content in B2B and B2C to support and impact business goals.

• General proficiency with social media tools, systems, and procedures.

• Focus on results; high proficiency for translating analytics into performance metrics.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Innovative, strategic mindset; critical thinker
