Our Pet Segment is searching for a Social Media / Reputation Specialist in our Neptune City, NJ facility. The Social Media / Reputation Specialist is responsible for recommending and executing social media programs while protecting and maximizing our reputation across online channels. The role is primarily responsible for social media and product reviews/user generated content on e-commerce sites across Nylabone, Four Paws, IMS, and TFH Publications.

The role is also responsible for the development of a comprehensive strategy and implementation to engage online audiences. This may be done both reactively and proactively; within an authentic brand voice to amplify our advocates, mitigate reputation risk and cultivate loyal consumers.

This person will sit in the Digital Marketing/E-Commerce Team and will work to create our brand voice and messaging style, as well as escalation plans and feedback loops. This position requires the self-starter tenacity to research and experiment with current and developing trends and platforms. This environment rapidly changes and the ability to adapt is necessary to succeed in this role.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

  • Develop and rollout a comprehensive online consumer engagement strategy
  • Develop and manage social media posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, etc.
  • Monitor online reputation for sentiment analysis, brand mentions, the blogosphere and forums
  • Report on the reputation of each community and trends regarding consumer feedback (both positive and negative), measured monthly
  • Place paid advertising buy and optimize across a variety of social media channels
  • Create programs that encourage ratings and reviews generation on our product listings
  • Write and edit content for brand newsletters, emails and promotions
  • Write new content for e-comm retailer sites for content and image updates; continually re-optimize keywords as needed
  • Work with each of the brands to establish a list of FAQs and continuously maintain
  • Establish a list of consumer responses and continuously maintain
  • Respond to online product reviews
  • Create a response program for crisis management in the event of a reputation risk

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

  • 3-5 years in a Social Media, PR or reputation management role
  • Familiarity with SEO
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Experience with Bazaarvoice, Social Studio and community managing Yelp preferred
  • Excellent grammar, writing and communication skills in different styles/tones
  • Familiarity with native social media analytics solutions and ability to draw insights and optimize
  • An ability to bring brand identity to life through an authentic and consistent voice across multiple channels
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Possess exceptional organizational and time management skills; self-starter; ability to project manage and prioritize work
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and able to commit to and meet team deadlines
  • Intellectual curiosity and thirst for innovation and success
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, experience in dealing with multiple and diverse internal stakeholders, and interacting with business and technology partners
  • Very Hands-On and "Can Do" attitude
  • Able to work in a constant state of awareness and safe manner
