Purpose:         The social media manager will lead, drive and implement all aspects of ConnectiCare’s social media strategy. This position is responsible for engagement and content development across social channels including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Yelp, blogs and others. He or she will work closely with internal and external partners to conceptualize, plan and develop compelling content and social campaigns that amplify ConnectiCare’s overall brand position in the marketplace.

The position requires attention to detail, creativity, strong writing skills, a commitment to the corporate brand and project management expertise.


  1. Own overall social strategy and audience growth across existing social channels and new / emerging channels for all ConnectiCare accounts.
  2. Plan, write for, design execute and manage a social media calendar that fulfills on business
  3. Partner with internal stakeholders, marketing team members, key community and corporate partners on social
  4. Coordinate social media management and initiatives with ConnectiCare parent company, EmblemHealth.
  5. Develop, write for and execute social advertising
  6. Edit content provided by others in the organization and outside
  7. Manage agencies, freelance writers and graphic design resources for social media
  8. Analyze performance of social content and continually improve content by setting and reporting against goals.
  9. Partner with member services to manage all customer service inquiries via social media channels to assure customers seeking support receive responses in accordance with ConnectiCare’s time and service standards.Monitor all social content and. assist during crisis management. Serve as a backup for tracking and response
  10. Performs other related duties as necessary


  1. Bachelors degree required, preferable in marketing or communications field
  1. At least 3-5 years social media experience, including experience writing for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages at a health care company or in a regulated industry.
  2. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest social media management platforms, digital technologies and social media trends.
  3. Some design experience preferred such as Adobe InDesign or PhotoShop
  4. In-depth knowledge of social media, blogs and review sites including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Yelp, Medium,
  5. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point and mobile
  6. Excellent project management, attention to detail, critical thinking and teamwork
  7. Ability to document workflows and plans and coordinate among multiple individuals.
  8. Excellent judgment and urgency in solving
  9. Excellent written communication skills specific to social media
  10. Ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic and team-oriented
  11. Ability to prioritize and manage tasks as
  12. Comfortable with and capable of juggling multiple
