Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for attracting and building relationships with targeted communities and network users. Motivated to achieve exceptional customer engagement, website traffic and revenue by strategically managing all aspects of social media marketing.


Essential Functions:

  • Soft selling products by providing support to current and prospective customers

  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (both User Generated Content and In-House Created Content) that builds meaningful relationship with our online communities, encouraging them to take action

  • Maintain social media calendar for each channel and brand

  • Work closely with other departments (customer care, marketing, etc.) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on web traffic and ROI

  • Build strategic campaign plans and targeting recommendations for a high volume of Social Media campaigns with varying goals/KPIs

  • Support in the launch, optimization, and analysis of paid social campaigns with a heavy emphasis on Facebook/Instagram, but including Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn

  • Ensure all accounts pace according to budget and goals with the assistance of the team

  • Perform competitor product analysis to understand appeal of their products, marketing efforts, and social media approaches on the market


Competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities):


  • Solid understanding of how to optimize content so that it is engaging and on appropriate channels

  • Verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to operate a computer and navigate through various computer programs including MS Outlook, Excel, and Windows

  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), and communication skills

  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge

  • Positive attitude and customer oriented

  • Good multitasking and organizational ability

  • Must be a social media expert with fluency in Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe, including Photoshop, Premier, and After Affects

  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics

  • Ability to be reliable and dependable

  • Ability to be a team player

  • Time management skills

  • Ability to be professional

  • Good work ethic

Supervisor Responsibilities: None

Work environment: Typical office conditions – no exposure to adverse environmental conditions or loud noises

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting – 90% daily

  • Bending, crouching, stooping, kneeling, standing or walking – 10% daily (occasional)

  • Visual acuity (20/40 – correctable by glasses/contacts)

  • Repetitive motions such as typing

  • Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling

Travel: one trip annually 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist

  • 1-2 years of experience in media, marketing, or related field


    Preferred Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field

  • Experience with consumer products brand

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
