Delta Global Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, Inc., has a Social Media Content Manager Job in Atlanta, GA through our Staffing Division. In the Social Media Content Manager Job, the candidate will responsible for the planning and creation of all IFS social media content, as well as day-to-day coordination of social media campaigns/projects; tasks include working with key stakeholders and agency partners to determine content concepts, generating and executing concepts for interactive media, copywriting for all social media channels and managing the daily social media content calendar. The Content Manager will also oversee day-to-day activity as related to various social media campaigns, as well as projects and corporate announcements in which social media plays a large role (product launches, IFS initiatives, leader communications, etc.).



  • Serve as the initial point of contact for inbound content requests on online digital properties.
  • Interact with stakeholders to understand business objectives and audience demographics.
  • Create, adhere to and manage social editorial calendar to ensure content and assets are being released on time by the Company Community Manager.
  • Update editorial calendars and ensure all assets/materials are timely and up to date.
  • Determine the conceptual and copy direction of social media content.
  • Work to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style/Company brand.
  • Translate content concepts into effective copy concepts or text for Company social media channels.
  • Identify and analyze issues, patterns and trends with internal customer requests about products/services to better make content recommendations.
  • Analyze and review metrics with intent to increase engagement and claimed accounts.
  • Proactively monitor brand and relevant themes/news stories within the blogosphere and provide suggestions for timely content, assets and conversations within brand communities.
  • Use online listening, supplemental research and daily community learnings to provide insights for improving content and enhancing successes.
  • Act as day-to-day project lead for social media campaigns and projects.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on social media projects to ensure timely delivery of assets and information.


  • 1-3 years of professional work experience (experience working in social media, business and/or copywriting).
  • Possess background knowledge and a true passion for the social media marketing space.
  • Understands social media universe including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, Flickr, blogs, forums etc.
  • Must have familiarity with Workplace and SharePoint.
  • A keen enthusiasm for and basic understanding of Web trends and technologies.
  • Graphic design, silverpop email functionality and video editing skills.
  • A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles.
  • Must have strong verbal and writing/grammatical skills as well as ability to present information and ideas logically and clearly; keen eye for detail also required.
  • Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Possesses excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to create editorial and technical writing output quickly.
  • Ability to actively contribute to strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution.
  • Understanding of graphic design and a keen appreciation of the interplay between textual and visual elements.
  • Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams simultaneously-both internal and external-in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment.
  • Understanding of operational business preferred, particularly the travel/leisure industry.
