Job Summary
The Social Media Community Engagement Specialist provides an exciting opportunity to build foundational social media skills.  This role is responsible for managing social online communities while ensuring the flawless execution of social media engagement, outreach and customer service through our owned social channels and eCommerce platforms.
 
Essential Job Duties
Monitors branded social media channels and eCommerce platforms, addressing critical mentions and issues in real time through engagement, escalation and/or documentation.
  • Works closely with social media & content leads to support consistent execution of brand voice online; creates tailored social media “scripts” for truly tailored and high-quality interactions.
  • Works closely with legal and other cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality and compliant consumer interactions through all touchpoints.
  • Contributes to social media reports by identifying themes and aggregating data into actionable insights to inform marketing (via social listening and social monitoring platform).
  • Manages updates to consumer service knowledgebase.
  • Helps discover trending topics, tools, community needs and opportunities in support of the team’s broader social media efforts.
  • Creates and distributes a bi-weekly Social Media Snapshot featuring consumer posts, trends and themes for the entire Campbell Snacks organization.
  • May perform other duties as required.
     
    Scope of Responsibility  
    Works under the guidance and supervision of the Sr Mgr, Digital Content & Social Media. This role has no supervisory or budgetary responsibility.
    Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills – you will be the voice of our company and will be responsible for our brands’ reputations across social platforms
  • Strong understanding of (and passion for) existing and emerging social media platforms & trends
  • Insights and analytics skills 
  • Solid interpersonal team skills – a positive, go-getter attitude
  • Able to pick up new tools and technology easily (i.e. email platform, WordPress, eCommerce platforms)
  • Creative thinker, who brings outside-of-the-box ideas
  • Ability to multitask and work well under deadlines
    Education and Experience
    Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital, English, Journalism or related field and a minimum of related internship experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
     
    Physical Demands
    The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stoop or kneel. The employee must be able to sit most of the day, typing and using the phone.
    Work Environment
    Corporate environment providing flexible hours beyond a standard 40-hour week.
     
    Travel Required
    This role may require up to 10% travel to the Norwalk, CT office.
