The corporate social media department is looking for a Social Media Associate Specialist (Assoc Specialist, Social Media) to assist in the creation, dissemination and execution of corporate social media content, covering all Canon USA social media properties as well as our Canon Forum. This position requires an understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn, Twitter) as well as basic knowledge of social content strategy and platform usage in order to determine opportunities for speciality content such as video. Understanding of videography for short/long form video creation to be used internally and externally, as well as video editing required.


- Internal event coverage for content, video creation and creation, understanding social platform metrics, ad sets, and organic sets, content strategy and product team/business unit collaboration
- Provide technical expertise and guidance where needed  to assigned product team members on social media opportunities (analyze audience, reach, engagement, and community potential) and creating content publishing schedules as well as the collection and reporting of analytics with the help of the teams Web Analyst
- Participates with a group of team members to create and implement social media best practices to improve, expand and optimize approved social media opportunities


- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Marketing, Advertising, Social Media marketing/operations with 1-2 years experience
- Knowledge of Photoshop, video editing programs required, understanding of social content scheduling tools a plus (Spredfast, Sprout, Hootsuite, etc)
