BAE Systems has an exciting opportunity in Nashua, NH, for an individual with proven social media skills. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Digital Communications team in BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems (ES) sector, responsible for the development and execution of social media content and employee advocacy. Working closely with the global communications team, this role will energize our employee base to create, amplify and extend our key messages to meet our business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative, strategic, and integrated digital communications programs to drive awareness and enthusiasm for BAE Systems, its people and culture.
  • Develop original, pre-approved content for social sharing and syndication. Be a key advisor in the development and curation of content associated with trends and social conversations.
  • Manage workflow and incentivize ES employee advocates to leverage their own social media networks.
  • Develop communication streams and incentive programs to boost employee engagement. Develop communications cadence to keep advocacy base actively engaged in the success of the program.
  • Contribute to the advancement of positive digital and social branding efforts, ensuring the BAE Systems brand is optimally represented and amplified across digital channels.
  • Manage monitoring initiatives, handle analytics reporting, and make recommendations to adjust programs in real-time.
  • Support development of new KPIs and measurement of the progress and impact of employee advocacy programs against pre-determined objectives.
  • Manage digital communications/social workload, as well as related work of internal partners. Coordinate influencer programs, including internal contributors and experts trained in social media execution.
  • Advise on to how to react and respond accordingly to social conversations.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelors degree in Communications or related field and four years of work experience in Communications (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Technical knowledge of the strengths and limitations of social media, mobile platforms, and emerging social media technologies.
  • Strong writing and digital story telling skills, ability to act as the voice of the Company.
  • Able to mitigate public issues with tact.
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate and manage work with internal and external business partners.
  • Ability to simultaneously initiate, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks with enthusiasm and attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and research skills.
  • Familiarity with the defense contracting space is helpful, but not required.
