SEO/SEM Manager

The SEO/SEM Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive search marketing strategy that will make a material difference driving traffic to our websites, and our etail webstores using paid search marketing, and guiding and executing on and off page SEO. This is a creative and analytical role and this person will immerse themselves in the research, messaging, creative, analysis and measurement to create short and long-term digital plans for assigned campaigns to drive movement of key metrics and profitable growth. The role demands passion, creative flair and up-to-date knowledge of search marketing trends. This role requires thought leadership and the ability to manage numerous cross-functional priorities within high-visibility initiatives and a professional approach working under tight deadlines.  Candidate will work closely with our sales and marketing team and manage 3rd party agencies to deliver timely and successful digital campaigns.  The desired candidate is well respected and a knowledgeable authority in search marketing.  

In this role you will:  

  • Create comprehensive search strategy in alignment with budget and company objectives, including short and long-term forecasting;
  • Strong ability to do campaign planning, forecasting and construct digital marketing campaigns;
  • Build out and manage (bid/budget) PPC and display campaigns;
  • Manage on-page and off-page SEO teams
  • Provide reporting and analysis of program level performance to measure ROAS and make recommendations to adjust spend based on performance analysis;
  • Link building to increase quality links to the site and improve search rankings and SEO;
  • Strong analytical skills to model different promotion scenarios and how it affects the projections and margins;
  • Experience with digital media purchases including Google ad words;
  • Work with Media Buyer/Agency to set up digital advertising opportunities: paid media launches through banner ads, sponsored content and more;
  • Experience setting up and optimizing selling via marketplaces like Amazon and eBay and managing amazon sponsored ads;
  • Knowledge of how digital press releases work and the value;
  • Recommend promotions and manage the promotional calendar, coordinating with key stakeholders for execution;
  • Work collaboratively with internal/external creative teams, marketing, copywriter and agencies to develop marketing assets (banner ads, promos, emails, etc.) to support web and display;
  • Conversion rate optimization using AB/Multivariate testing to improve copy and CTA’s, emails and promo ads;
  • Apply critical thinking and launch creative solutions to drive traffic and ultimately conversion;

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • 8+ years proven SEM, Internet Marketing and project management experience.
  • Advanced Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools and Google Adwords experience required.
  • Very strong analytics and ROI mindset and problem solving ability.
  • Previous ecommerce experience in related (hi-tech) environment required.
  • Strong creative and innovative skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Professional, accessible and flexible to the changing needs of the department.
  • Experience with Tableau reporting is a plus.
  • Must work well in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Capable of handling fast paced situations and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Digital marketing thought leader who can influence stakeholders and partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, quality commitment, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. 
  • Positive attitude, a great work ethic, detail oriented, organized and punctual.
