Position Summary:

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Coordinator reports directly to the Associate Director, Digital Content, and is responsible for improvements and maintenance of organic web site marketing performance.

This role is responsible for analyzing, reviewing, and making changes to clients' web sites and will work with all members of agency’s Digital Marketing teams to ensure that optimized sites are fully compliant with industry best practices and agency guidelines.

Principal Duties:

  1. Identify and prioritize keyword phrases for SEO initiatives.

  2. Edit, review, modify and publish content in a variety of content management systems. Assist with copy creation and editorial review processes.

  3. Modify HTML coding to improve search engine rankings and indexation.

  4. Analyze web site statistics and user data relative to search engine optimization and rankings and then provide clear, actionable reporting and insights in a timely manner.

  5. Perform SEO maintenance on various client properties.

  6. Track ranking changes in Google, Bing and Yahoo! search results across desktop and mobile environments.

  7. Leverage Google Analytics segmentation and reporting to provide actionable insights into SEO performance.

  8. Assist with management of third-party contractors and vendors.

  9. Perform link-building; research, identify and establish link partnerships with other websites.  Monitor and recommend link profile modifications.

  10. Document technical specifications for improved SEO functionality.

  11. Utilize third party tools and software systems for SEO reporting and task prioritization.

  12. Interpret ongoing industry changes and forecast opportunities for improving organic SEO campaigns.

  13. Retrieve and work with data from web site analytics platforms and client lead and sales systems to publish reports.

  14. Collaborate with Paid Search, Paid Social Media and Offline teams for maximum efficiency in organic search engine environments.

  15. Maintain an advanced knowledge of Google and Bing algorithms and ranking criteria.

  16. Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
