Description

Fahrenheit IT seeks a Senior Writer-Cloud Influence and Content for a long-term contract opportunity. The Senior Writer will develop written content, including blog posts, as well as manage and execute a program to engage external audiences with IBM key concepts. The Sr Writer must be self-sufficient and dedicated to creating high-quality content and interactions that generate measurable results for this IBM social team. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative and engaging digital content – including blog posts, social copy and online forum/community posts
  • Write clear and concise content that follows IBM best practices, is accurate and adheres to IBM Style and legal guidelines
  • Identify and pursue digital engagement opportunities with influencers, online communities and other key audiences consistent with the team’s social media strategy
  • Create content from existing assets, research and/or interviews
  • Optimize content for SEO, focusing on IBM messaging and understanding a global, B2B audience
  • Manage content pipeline and publication process with numerous IBM stakeholders
  • Use your social media presence to elevate IBM brand, reputation and key concepts
  • Measure results based on IBM social best practices and report them to executives
  • Proactively communicate with IBM team to provide status updates and resolve issues

Required Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a deep understanding of how to develop compelling B2B content for blogs and social channels
  • Demonstrable and varied writing experience in a corporate or tech environment
  • Measurable degree of social influence and existing audience. For example: a regularly published column in trade media; a large, engaged Twitter audience; panelist/speaker roles at industry events
  • Ability to work independently to manage and execute ongoing online engagement program, including advancing opportunities for IBM and creating content pipeline
  • Aptitude to prioritize and efficiently manage workloads from multiple work streams with deadlines
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the content creation and revision process
  • Ability to understand and apply IBM social business, style and legal guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to research, learn and communicate about emerging social trends and technologies
  • Willingness to adapt and learn new things
  • Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills and leadership capabilities

Preferred Experience

  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5-8 years’ experience in business writing and communications
  • Relevant experience within B2B/technology space 
  • Demonstrable, measurable industry influence
  • Ability to engage an audience
