OFFICE & DIGITAL MARKETING ASSISTANT

OVERVIEW

We are a fast-growing, niche lumber company in Southeast Portland, Oregon. We’re looking for an upbeat, positive, and experienced candidate to assist our marketing and sales team in the office. Position is full-time. Responsibilities are largely clerical and geared toward the acquisition, organization, and input of customer data into a database; as well as communicating via phone, email, and face-to-face with co-workers, managers, customers, and vendors. An important aspect of this position will be supporting the company’s digital marketing team. This includes writing copy for blog posts, newsletters, press releases, our website, and social media platforms; acquiring project and product photos; and editing digital image files.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Office and Sales Support

·       Generate and print office documents such as shipping labels, packing lists, bills of lading, and sample labels.

·       Answer calls in a courteous and professional manner, transfer calls to the appropriate person, and taking detailed messages when that person is unavailable.

·       Check voicemail, take detailed messages, and deliver those messages to the appropriate people.

·       Develop, implement, and maintain a filing system for digital and physical files.

·       Fill gaps in customer data by navigating through existing documents, or contacting customers directly.

·       Purchase office/warehouse supplies.

 

Digital Marketing Support

·       Generate content (photos, copy, graphics) for blog posts, newsletters, press releases, our website, and social media platforms.

·       Schedule posts for review and publication.

·       Research our company and product, and identify ways to improve exposure/visibility via digital marketing.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       High school diploma or GED

·       At least 1 year of relevant professional experience

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Mac operating systems, social media marketing/management software such as buffer, loomly, or hootsuite

·       Active social media accounts

·       Excellent, demonstrable English skills (written and verbal) e.g., grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary

·       Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

·       Valid driver’s license

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:
