The Role:

The primary function of this position is growing and managing Claire's North America and Icing social media presence. Our current social networks consist of over a million connections and your task will be to nurture these relationships with the end goal of driving our followers and guests to our stores and online.

Develop and maintain social and online content that attracts attention, generates interest and demands to be shared by our followers and guests.

Support Group Social Media Manager and Group Brand Marketing & PR Director with reporting and analysis on social media objectives and initiatives.

Maintain North America social media content calendar to support marketing & sales objectives.

  • Manage day-to-day social media activities related to both Claire's North America and Icing. This includes monitoring, tagging and analysis of social media conversations across various platforms, maintenance of our brands' social media sites and community management.
  • Reply to consumer questions and comments regularly. Work with all teams to provide authentic and helpful responses.
  • Identify and engage bloggers, micro-influencers and brand advocates to build loyalty and affinity to further enhance brand communication to unconverted consumers.
  • Work with other members of the company (Creative Team & Merchants) to create -> execute -> analyze cross-platform content.
  • Stay current and forward thinking on new social media tools and platforms, best practices and use within the competitive landscape
  • Maintain and become the brand voice and vision throughout all conversations
  • Support Social Media Department with administrative needs.

Position Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in PR / Communications, Marketing, or other related field
  • 1-2 year's work experience in Marketing or Communications in a fast paced environment with a focus on social media
  • Published blogger or fashion writer a plus
  • Understanding of the digital and social media universe including Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Wanelo, Tumblr, Pinterest, YouNow, Musical.ly and Live.ly
  • Be able to be present yourself in a professional manner and represent the company appropriately at any events.
  • Strong analytical background with the ability to analyze social media initiatives overall impact on the business
  • Support Group Social Media Manager in recaps and reporting
  • Experience with using Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Curalate, Listening tools in social media reporting capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excels at research, is able to identify threats and opportunities in social media content
  • Ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities based on organizational needs
  • Sense of urgency, motivated, proactive and curious mind
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Interested in the fashion retail industry and desire to learn all aspects of the brand/business
