MARKETING MANAGER

Lyons HR, an industry-leading Human Resources Services Provider in the PEO (Professional Employer Organization) space is currently recruiting for a Marketing Manager. Located in the operations hub in Gadsden, Alabama. this position will be responsible to actively market the services of this forward-leaning company. The Marketing Manager position will provide the sales team with marketing initiatives that engage prospective clients, driving the sales of a suite of professional services to small and medium-sized businesses. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Sr Vice President of Sales to create a marketing strategy that facilitates sales growth while enhancing and expanding the Lyons HR brand. Additionally, the occupant of this position will offer a demonstrated expertise in social and digital marketing, building the brand and creating awareness through the utilization of the most viable on-line tools and outlets. Position Summary :

The Marketing Manager will develop and implement marketing programs, strategies and campaigns, across a variety of media sources, increasing sales and revenue for the company. The Marketing Manager will support company leadership to conceptualize needs for marketing initiatives, facilitating the meetings, conventions and events necessary to grow the brand and execute the desired vision and goal.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Brand Promotion :

· Promote the Lyons HR and affiliated company brands, policies and core values;

· Promote the expansion of Lyons HR services by identifying marketing and promotion opportunities, speaking engagements and recruitment on multiple media platforms;

· Collaborate, participate in and coordinate promotional activities and trade shows;

· Support the Sales Team with rapid and accurate response to prospect queries;

· Coordinate marketing activities to ensure advertising and sales programs reach targeted clients and prospects in a timely and effective manner;

· Develop network of appropriate contacts within the media;

· Maintains positive business relationships with staff and Sales Team, both internal and brokers;

Market Research and Analysis:

· Gather and analyze market research, market conditions and competitor data to identify new markets, future clients, and demand for products and services from current and future clients;

· Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the market; identify needs for new products and services and makes recommendations to leadership;

· Analyze existing website traffic and internet activity related to company-offered products and services;

· Oversee the creation and implementation of online marketing plans, compile and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of such plans;

· Report campaign results to management, addressing any questions or concerns;

· Identify and recommend improvements and modifications to existing programs and additional or new marketing strategies and opportunities;

· Confer with vendors and brokers regarding client response to promotional programs and general market conditions;

Strategy and Development

· Compose, develop and conduct training for the Sales Department on marketing activities, strategies and policies;

· Identify vendors for services needed to execute a marketing strategy;

· Oversee all aspects of printing and production, receipt and distribution of marketing and sales materials;

· Consult with Sales Team to understand goals and scope of the desired marketing program;

· Maintain current knowledge of online marketing opportunities and trends, web analytics, and search engine optimization (SEO) techniques;

· Develop innovative strategies to attract clients to the Company’s brand through various web-based marketing programs and SEO techniques;

· Assist with development of the Company website to ensure its efficiency and efficacy;

· Coordinate periodic sales programs and promotions based on merchandising trends;

· Identify appropriate social media platforms and other web-based tools to use in the promotion of each product or service;

· Ensure projects are completed on time and on budget;

· Collaborate with and coordinate communication among information technology, sales and other departments to complete projects;

Event Planning

· Compile materials and coordinate activities related to special events such as holidays, new Company work locations, trade shows, or anticipated product/service releases;

· Consult with Sales Team to assess and understand their needs for events; areas of discussion and consultation include staffing, meeting rooms, convention halls, ballrooms, hospitality suites, hotel rooms, catering, signage, programs, music, security, display areas, and other specialized requirements;

· Compile a list of prospective event locations; visits locations, as needed, and provides guidance on the final selection;

· Compile price lists and negotiate contracts for services, dates, times and spaces;

· Consult with and coordinate with outside contacts, upon request, to plan and develop event schedule, topics, and featured speakers;

· Ensure that events meet legal, safety, and health requirements and regulations; obtains necessary permits from fire and health departments;

· Coordinate transportation and lodging for guests, attendees, speakers or other parties;

· Coordinate registration process for event participants;

· Perform administrative duties and details associated with events including monitoring budgeting goals, distribution of promotional materials, and responding to inquiries;

· Develop and maintain current lists of available venues and services and pricing options;

· Maintain current knowledge of event planning standards and trends by consulting with other professionals, and reading trade publications;

· Develop events from proposal to delivery, including:

o Sets, communicate and maintains project timeline and priorities;

o Develops contacts to secure appropriate and good-value venue hire;

o Liaises with external suppliers including venues, caterers, speakers, etc.;

o Organizes appropriate sponsorship and co-sponsoring of external events;

o Works with graphic designers, when necessary, to develop promotional materials;

· Communicate with and updates the internal Human Resources Department for Company conferences, events and seminars;

· Implement systems to manage invitations, sign up, guest list, discounts, etc.;

· Deliver events on time, within budget, that meet (and hopefully exceed) expectations;

· Provide On-the-Day management of events;

· Develop and maintain files related to sales programs and marketing and special event communications; ensures they are available for future reference;

Job Qualifications and Skills:

Education and/or Experience

Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or related field required; at least 3 years of experience in marketing; experience creating and maintaining external partnerships in the development of marketing media; demonstrable evidence of running events from conception to completion; appreciation of the nature of accountability, ethics, targets and outcomes; experience of developing marketing strategies and identifying new areas of grown/revenue/exposure.

Skills

· Superior verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate with diverse audiences;

· Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines;

· Creative, inventive and ability to effectively find practical, well-considered solutions with well-developed planning, risk and issue management and delivery skills;

· Ability to organize and prioritize own workload to meet deadlines, organized and detail-oriented;

· Ability to work alone or as part of a team, respond to problems and assist with a calm, courteous and helpful manner and attitude, including the ability to engage and build effective relationships with stakeholders and committees quickly;

· Thorough understanding of legal regulations and permits required for events;

· Ability to conduct and correct interpret research and web analytics to compile, analyze and communicate data;

· Thorough understanding of principles and methods, such as internet marketing and general marketing strategies (including knowledge of social media and HTML) to promote, display and sell products and services;

· Ability to implement marketing plans, including the creation and monitoring of budgets;
