Manager of Digital Communications Strategy

Perform website content updates and write news and blog posts designed to drive traffic, promote engagement, and support company objectives. Perform keyword, industry, and competitive research to inform content marketing strategy, and collaborate with content contributors to create high-quality content around relevant terms and trends. Produce creative visual assets (photographs, videos, infographics, GIFs, stop-motion) for website, email marketing, blog, and social media usage. Contribute to overall digital growth and content marketing strategy

Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • SEO/SEM & Web Optimization/Management: Maintain company websites and profiles, ensuring all content is up-to-date, accurate and follows brand guidelines and web best practices
  • Lead all SEO activities, including implementing on-page and off-page optimization, analyzing competitors, keyword research, technical SEO and identifying link building opportunities
  • Provide strategic, actionable insights for improving organic and local search rankings
  • Conduct name, address, phone number (NAP) and listing audits to ensure citations are accurate and optimized - creating, claiming, and verifying new listings
  • Provide SEO improvement recommendations to website architecture, working with PMH leadership and agency partners to implement changes and develop user testing experiments
  • Create and manage all universe ticketing event pages
  • Stay up to date on industry changes and identify new technologies to improve processes
  • Build, optimize and analyze pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns, reporting learnings to be applied to other digital activities.
  • Email Marketing: Oversee the email marketing lifecycle, from strategy, development, and execution of all email campaigns
  • Conduct A/B testing (showing two variations of the same web page to different visitors at the same time then comparing which drives more engagement and conversations) and provide actionable recommendations for campaign optimization
  • Create, update, and maintain the email marketing calendar and reporting spreadsheet
  • Research and seek opportunities for growing our email database, followers, and notification signups
  • Strategy/Digital Reporting: Provide reporting on digital activities
  • Summarize and gather insights to optimize campaign performance

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Post-secondary education with a degree in digital marketing/marketing, business, or communications.

Minimum Experience: 5+ years' experience in digital strategy, management, or digital marketing. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and good eye for visual design. Deep understanding of digital and social media realms; passionate about generating and sharing content and new technologies. Understanding of SEO best practices and strategies. Proven experience in managing enterprise social media tools and technologies, including monitoring and digital marketing metrics. Possesses a creative approach and a vision for lifestyle storytelling. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills. Works extremely well under pressure and is able to multi-task on concurrent projects. Enjoys working in a hands-on and collaborative team environment. Passionate about food and the restaurant industry. Design, photography, videography, and editing skills are an asset
