Our Calhoun location in Tennessee, United States is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Inventory & Materials Coordinator. This job is permanent, full-time.

The individual will work with every aspect of production from receiving materials to consumption. The person will work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Planning to ensure materials are correct in SAP and have been received and stored. This person is responsible for all vital supplies inventory, converting parts room inventory, as well as working with vendors to order and track items.

Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Receive, verify, and label vital supplies upon arrival.
  • Maintain Supplies in warehouse using FIFO; work with utilities to keep supplies neat and orderly. Working knowledge of 5S helpful.
  • Develop processes; ability to train operations on these processes to ensure raw materials being sent back from Converting are accurate counts.  If found to be incorrect, work with leadership to educate workforce on the impact to the business.
  • Train employees for checking out parts on shifts so that accurate inventory is kept.
  • Cycle, count, and reconcile supplies using SAP daily & weekly.
  • Send daily reports to Planners/management with updated inventory lists.
  • Count all inventory monthly and create inventory documents in SAP to correct any discrepancies.
  • Maintain parts room by stocking items received and delivered from Mill stores, putting up new stock, assigning bins, and labeling parts using SAP.  Cycle counting and consuming items used on production lines using SAP. Goes to Mill Stores and picks up any parts not delivered or arrange to have parts brought down.
  • Work with suppliers to have items removed from site (totes, bales, empty trailers).
  • Maintain trailer inventory and coordination unloading schedule.
  • Get quotes for nonstock parts from vendors and use SAP to order supplies for the production lines and maintenance.
  • Work with maintenance on parts lookup and locating parts within the storeroom.
  • Complete paperwork for adding new stock items and adjusting Min/Max quantities.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office is a plus.

  • Type and enter data at a speed necessary for successful job performance.
  • Operate a computer terminal proficiently and maintain computerized records.

  • Understand pertinent procedures and functions quickly and apply them without immediate supervision.
  • Work independently in the absence of supervision.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Education, Certificates and Licenses:

High School diploma or equivalent.


  • A minimum of 2 years of procurement and/or warehouse experience required.
  • An understanding of the latest purchasing and warehouse practices, as well as the utilization of business management systems (i.e., EMPAC, SAP) is necessary to provide efficient customer service. Knowledge of computer system and PC programs is required.

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an aptitude for computerized work, proficient working knowledge of the MS Office suite, and a demonstrated ability to learn other software as necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stoop and kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Climbing straight ladders 10+ feet 7 to 10 times a day.
  • Wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Assisting with contacting vendors and suppliers regarding deliveries, and product problems; for example, to expedite delivery of goods and services to ensure production schedule is met.
  • Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Mill’s inventory system; tracks progression of documentation through appropriate authorized channels.
