Description

The Head of Marketing is responsible for the development and execution of the marketing strategy and brand image across all lines of business. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams within the company as well as external partners/accounts/vendors to define and implement traditional and digital marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a marketing & sales background and obsession with beauty, all things social and the digital world. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

Skills & Experience

  • 7-10 years’ experience leading and executing marketing strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create, implement, and monitor budgets.
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and a problem solver.
  • Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell services for landscaping or direct services (B2B) companies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Works closely with CEO in the development and execution of marketing strategy
  • Stay abreast of competitive activity and trends. Conducts competitive analysis on regular basis for each business segment and maintains complete, up to date competitive advertising and collateral files.
  • Lead advertising and promotional activities using social media platforms by creating content, structure cadence, and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for producing and maintaining detailed proposal & campaign reports for clients.
  • Manage multiple online vendor portals to ensure the company qualifies as an approved vendor.
  • Maintain data related to sales and marketing which may include vendor qualifications, proposals, insurance and license, organization charts and other related content. 
  • Analyze target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
  • Prepare ad-hoc and regular reports using Salesforce or other related software.
  • Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the department marketing budget.
  • Maintain websites, ensuring up-to-date content and a high-quality visitor experience throughout at all times.
  • Create and maintain marketing collateral for both print and online including postcards, one-pagers, flyers, invitations, office stationery, posters, etc.
  • Prepare meeting agenda and materials as requested by sales and/or leadership.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client and business operation information.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Support company-wide marketing strategies by assisting with research, planning and tactics.
  • Assist with networking events, trade shows, and vendor events.
  • Coordinate the selection and delivery of all marketing related promotional items.
  • May provide general administrative support for the VP, Sales and assist with departmental training activities and new employee onboarding.
  • Provide assistance with the coordination of meetings to include but not limited to the President’s Club/Sales meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 - 20 pounds
  • Ability to travel occasionally not to exceed 10%
