Company is seeking a data-driven, marketing and SEO guru who is eager to help a B2C media startup strategize, execute, and grow our presence in the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle media space.

The ideal candidate is excited about developing a strategy to grow traffic to our websites through SEO, paid, and owned digital products and executing that strategy.

The right candidate will come in excited to implement innovative ideas to grow traffic and engage readers on and off the site.

As the Head Of Growth Marketing, you will be a critical member of Company’s marketing leadership team, taking a strong hand in marketing strategy, and leading our efforts to make sure as many people as possible find and benefit from Company’s content. You will report directly to Company’s Chief Product & Marketing Officer, and be charged with creating and executing strategies to increase traffic, and engage and grow our base of loyal shoppers. You will oversee our efforts in SEO, paid, and non-paid marketing, and ensure the product is set up to most effectively engage and support the users through each channel.

Devise an SEO strategy and work with cross-functional teams to execute programs that drive high-quality organic traffic.

Work with Engineering to implement changes on the site ranging from landing pages to ensure strong conversion, to on-page SEO strategies

Grow new user acquisition, activation, and retention in a data-driven, scalable, and efficient manner

Partner with the Creative / Brand Marketing teams to develop and optimize assets to fuel growth marketing initiatives

Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define and implement strategies and initiatives that drive user acquisition, activation, and retention

Synthesize vast amounts of data and report key insights and findings to the executive team and other stakeholders on a recurring basis

Manage and create dashboards to allow real-time access to KPI against goals across the organization and actionable insights

Forecast and budget with accuracy

Launch, AB test, and optimize acquisition-oriented digital products including landing pages, content sites, referral programs, and SEO

Lead the SEO team to ensure best practices in tech and content creation to reach the largest possible audience.

Work with product to develop and refine tools critical to audience engagement (user accounts, newsletter signups, etc)

Develop and lead the team to execute a marketing strategy across search, email, social, and paid channels that drive cost-effective new customer growth


8+ years working in growth marketing at major digital publications or ecommerce platforms

5+ years of management experience, particularly overseeing audience engagement teams at major digital publications or ecommerce sites

5+ years of SEO experience

Experience setting, executing and iterating a growth strategy

Deep technical and marketing technology background with tools and platforms such as: Tableau, Facebook Marketing API, Google Ads, GA, SEO, SQL

Deep understanding of audience analytics

Willingness to implement your strategies from the ground up while building a team to support these efforts

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and in person.

Ability to recruit, retain and motivate a team
