About the Role

The multi-billion-dollar direct mail industry has been left out of the digital age, and it’s costing companies billions in wasted time and unrealized growth. Company automates direct mail & address verification for modern businesses. More than 5,000 companies use Company’s APIs to move faster and create new growth opportunities. One in four U.S. households have received mail generated through Company’s platform.

As the Director of Content, you will make a significant impact on Company’s growth through compelling storytelling and thought leadership. We are looking for an experienced leader passionate about storytelling in all forms - blog, video-script, whitepaper, research report or guide, use case, or other - to tell our story.  In this role, you’ll lead a team of writers, former journalists-freelancers, to define, manage and own Company’s content strategy, and you’ll be comfortable to roll up your sleeves to write, edit, and produce thought provoking content. 

As the Director of Content, you’ll

  • Define, implement, and own Company’s content strategy including content creation, curation, and distribution with the end goals of driving education, thought-leadership, customer acquisition, and customer success
  • Develop and maintaining a functional content calendar based on audience insights, keyword research, messaging themes, and campaign plans
  • Plan, write, manage, edit, a wide variety of content including blog posts, best practices and how-to pieces, whitepapers, ghostwritten articles, corporate marketing copy-collateral, guides, scripts, and more
  • Collaborate closely with demand generation to develop a content distribution strategy for all channels of content including online, social media, email, video, and direct mail
  • Establish the frameworks that hold our content to high standards of clarity, effectiveness and style, ensuring that all content is on-message, on-brand, and leveraging its full potential
  • Meet and exceed pipeline KPIs 

For this role, we're looking for...

  • 8+ years of relevant content marketing experience at fast growing, B2B SaaS technology companies
  • Expertise in creating compelling thought leadership content
  • High energy, confidence, and creativity, balanced with an ability to successfully drive projects to completion with a strong attention to detail and a willingness to do whatever it takes from an execution perspective
  • Extraordinary written skills, with the ability to craft and deliver inspirational stories to diverse audiences (ranging from enterprise CxOs to our developer community) of all sizes
  • A collaborative mindset and track record of managing cross-functional teams to drive strong execution
  • Leadership skills and an aptitude for developing repeatable best practices for Company
  • Curiosity and passion for the vision, market, and opportunity that Company is pursuing
  • A technical background and prior experience with APIs are preferred
  • Journalist, editor, editor-in-chief experience is highly desired
