                                      Marketing Manager - Digital

Summary:

Manages the development and execution of marketing communications plans for multiple brands and several product lines across multiple sales forces and channels. Promotes brands and products to both customers (distributors) and end-users (architects, facility managers, locksmiths, integrators), employing all aspects of the marketing mix to increase awareness, drive demand, strengthen brand perception, and grow market share with emphasis on digital marketing strategy and tactics. Manages marketing automation programs and CRM software integration with marketing campaigns. Is responsible for enhancing brand awareness within the digital space including driving website traffic and lead generation. Works closely with PIM Specialist on digital integrations with Product Information Management software.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

 

A.  PLANS AND EXECUTES CUSTOMER AND END-USER MARKETING

  1. BRAND COMMUNICATIONS AND CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT:

·         Implements communications campaigns for both launches and ongoing campaigns across multiple media, coordinating advertising, digital marketing, websites and collateral to ensure quality and consistency.

·         Leads development of marketing communications to establish a clear, consistent ‘voice’, as well as targeted messages for specific audiences.

·         Works with Graphic Designers on campaign creation, photography, layouts and other visual elements.

·         Maintains relevant content and SEO standards on brand websites to increase lead generation and brand awareness.

·         Collaborates with internal teams to improve customer experiences across multiple channels and touch points.

·         Identify trends and insights for optimizing campaigns based on conversion testing and performance analytics, leveraging digital agencies when appropriate.

·         Measuring and reporting of Digital Marketing campaigns including SEO/ SEM, email, social media, paid and organic.

·         Writes copy for ads, Social media posts, Infographics, PowerPoint presentations, videos, Eblast, collateral, etc.

·         Works with PR firm and internal colleagues to develop technically-based and thought leadership articles.

·         Proofs all communications for compliance with brand standards.

 

2.    OUTSOURCING:

·         Researches options and negotiates with vendors (i.e. Digital Agencies) to ensure quality, optimal pricing and rapid turn-around.

·         Manages requisition process for marketing projects, working with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to order, track and verify major purchases.

 

B.  RECOMMENDS AND EXECUTES COMMUNICATIONS FOR KEY ACCOUNTS AND SALES REPRESENTATIVES

1. ONGOING SALES SUPPORT:

·         Assists Sales with co-op promotions and customer marketing, meeting the needs of both field representatives and customers with innovative communications.

·         Collects data from Engineering and Tech Support to update collateral, including sell sheets, catalogs, installation instructions, etc.

·         Evaluates new opportunities for sales collateral and training tools.

 

2.    NATIONAL TRADESHOWS:

·         Assists with brand presence at 3-4 national tradeshows, supporting the “customer experience” from messaging and booth layout to display materials and handouts.

 

C.  MANAGES AND COLLABORATES ON DEPARTMENT/COMPANY INITIATIVES

1.  INTERNAL ACTIVITIES

·         Work collaboratively with Director to develop strategic plans for the department, and assist in holding teams accountable for staying on strategy

·         Collaborates on budget and project management to maximize efficiencies.

·         Analyzes key sales and market data to present recommendations for new marketing tactics and process improvements.

·         Works with PIM Specialist to define the scope of work for digital product tools and utilities, including process for integration with Product Information Management System.

·         Monitors roll-out of campaigns and success vs. goals, making ongoing adjustments and preparing lessons learned to improve future marketing.

·         Participates on groups and committees with sister companies/corporate parent to increase company awareness and to promote co-marketing opportunities.

·         Maintains organized archives of all marketing activities including historical samples, electronic assets and competitive materials.

 

Other duties may be assigned as necessary

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position exercises dotted-line supervision of internal Graphic Designer and direct management of external resources from printers and premium vendors to fulfillment providers and event staffers. Depending on the project, this position often coordinates multi-functional teams.
