As Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will be responsible for supporting and leading a range of strategic initiatives, all critical to sustaining, scaling, and growing our business. 

In this highly visible and agile role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with C-suite executives and internal teams on a day to day basis depending on what the needs of the business are each month, each week, and even each day. You will set agendas and help run internal meetings, such as our weekly All Hands with the entire company. You will support development of internal and external materials, such as Board Decks, investor pitch decks, and customer-facing materials. You will serve as a thought-partner to the CEO and have the opportunity to peak under the hood at how strategic decisions are made at a growing Series B startup. Each quarter, you will own a set of strategic initiatives to drive forward, based on business needs and your own development goals. 

As the Chief of Staff, you will:

  • Be a swiss army knife: Help the CEO execute the company’s highest priorities on a given day or week. Over time, you will touch and have an impact on every part of the business;
  • Support the CEO on a day to day basis: Help the CEO stay organized, track priorities, manage time, and tee up information needed to make critical decisions for the company;
  • Serve as a thought partner and drive strategic decisions: Work directly with C-suite executives and internal teams to drive strategic decisions across the company and ensure the company is aligned on key strategic initiatives;
  • Lead a variety of special projects: Projects will vary by quarter and business needs, but examples include standardization of our deal delivery platform, updating our organizational structure, and building out a scientific advisory board;
  • Draft external and internal communications: Example communications include all hands presentations, board decks, investor updates, blog posts, and press releases;
  • Coordinate internal meetings: Set the agenda, run, and synthesize internal meetings, such as our weekly all hands;
  • Craft best practices for team communication and information sharing: Work cross-functionally to identify pain points and develop solutions to continuously improve information sharing across the organization; and
  • Be a talent ambassador: Help continue to build a world-class team, by helping attract, interview, and onboard your future team members during this exciting time of growth.

You are a great fit if you are:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills: Are able to create order out of complicated systems and processes;
  • An effective communicator: You know how to communicate with multiple teams (technical, operational, finance, sales), across multiple levels (executive, management, execution), and across formats (verbal, PPT, Word); 
  • Collaborative: You build strong cross-functional relationships and get joy from the team’s collective success; 
  • A builder: You are able to understand complex business requirements and craft effective solutions to address them. You know how to scale with an organization and how to evolve models, systems and processes so they don’t get stale when a company outgrows them;
  • Adaptable: You have an entrepreneurial spirit and love a high-growth, fast-paced environment where you can innovate and help build a disruptive business;
  • Self-confident, low ego: No task is too big or too small for you to take on, and no feedback is too pointed for you to hear, if it’s what moves the work forward. 
  • 3-5+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or at a high growth start up, but any of a broad range of backgrounds are encouraged
  • Nice to haves:
    • Experiences with Life Sciences, healthcare, or real world data
