Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. We use programs like Magento, WordPress, etc to deliver products online and programs like SEOClarity, Drift, HubSpot, etc for marketing and sales. All these programs and their upgrades would fall under the System Admin's responsibility. While we have most of our websites done outside, we would need someone who could make minor changes to pages and load new items to sites. Basic html and web tools familiarity is a must
Responsibilities
Install and configure software and hardware
Optimize internal programs for marketing and sales needs
Manage network servers and technology tools
Set up accounts and workstations
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Skills
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
Knowledge of html, WordPress, and shopping cart applications
Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude. Ability to optimize programs we use internally through the use of api's or other plug ins to improve functionality with other programs
Excellent communication skills
